K\u00e1roly D\u00e1vid’s original concept, the tall grandstand facing to the east, the lower tribune opposite of it, and the the tall main building have irreversibly designated an axis. The architects of later ages adapted to this. The old Budapest Sports Hall strengthened this, the Olympic Hall, the Hotel ignored it, and the new Budapest Arena finally made its mark. Behind the stadium were built many buildings strange and crowded. The Velodrom ignored all this and being the oldest \u201epiece of furniture\u201d waited for his fate. The park concept based on the reflection of the Stef\u00e1nia road and the Dromosz further strengthened the axis-like form. This axis had no urban history, but the time passed since the construction of the stadium has created a city history. Fortunately, the imperial axes are no longer present, but as parts of the story they remain important.<\/p>\n
