[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”a-content-body”]Our proposal is for a uniquely shaped, “pavilion-like” building, which does not seek to continue the functions of the surrounding buildings, nor does it consider their architectural toolkit as a precedent. Instead, with the intention of creating its own identity, it resolves the large scale differences and makes itself attractive in the urban boundary situation.
\nIn shaping the building mass, we considered the square base structure to be the best expression of the “sculptural” or “object-like” appearance.
\nThe concept of the object-like building is reinforced by the strong use of color. A vibrant color effect can be achieved by placing complementary colors next to each other, which is why we chose red as a complement to the green of the neighboring park, the garden, the plant containers, and the roof.
\nOur goal is to design a building with a broad capacity and flexible variability. The structure without load-bearing walls allows for free and flexible use of space. This makes it easy to establish a showroom, office, or apartment, but a catering facility on the ground floor and offices and apartments on the next two levels can also be easily accommodated.
\nThe designers’ proposal is for a themed operation, which will place the building on the mental map of the population. The project will become nameable, memorable, and “brandable.” It will create an attraction for distributing companies, social and cultural strata, and market players alike. Our suggestion is, for example, the creation of a design center, where the synergy of commerce, catering, and culture could be realized, with occasional exhibitions, lectures, and events organized around the themes of design, fashion, and art. This place could be an exhibition platform for artists and a meeting point for professionals. Its buffet-coffee bar can serve even external guests, combined with the use of the garden in the summer, which, besides the many plants, also accommodates a sculpture park.
\nOn the roof, a “skybar” as part of the mass of the circulation core would be an attraction all year round, where smaller meetings can also be held, while overlooking the neighboring park.
