During the construction of the building, the romantic atmosphere of Zugl\u00f3 had to be combined with contemporary cleanliness. Despite the larger room program, the original facade and roof planes were left untouched. The roof itself is “perforated” from the top, meaning that roof windows provide a significant part of the lighting. This gives more intimacy in the vicinity of neighbouring houses and results in more exciting sense of space and light.
\nWhen designing interiors, we consider the main staircase to be the central element, which receives sunlight from the top by a roof window.
\nThe tower gave a distinctive character to the original house, what we tried to keep after the transformation as well.<\/p>\n
